Alison's Story
Alison Hedquist, a proud and devoted mother, battled epilepsy every day of her life. When medication no longer worked, she turned to the CNI Epilepsy Center, where she underwent surgery that effectively ended her seizures. Click the play button to hear Alison's story.
The CNI Epilepsy Center offers advanced care and leading-edge treatments for patients who suffer from the disruptive and often debilitating effects of seizures caused by epilepsy.
Patients benefit from the expertise and collaborative approach of our team, which includes physicians, nurses, psychologists, a neurosurgeon, neurodiagnostic lab technicians, physical therapists and pharmocologists. Working together, these experienced specialists are able to address the full range of care required by each patient, from diagnosis and consultation to neurodiagnostic testing and neuropsychological assessment to treatment and rehabilitation.
The center conducts ongoing clinical research and trials to advance the development of new treatments and medications, including investigational anti-epileptic drug studies.
The CNI Epilepsy Center also provides medical management services and social worker assessments for patients and their families. Numerous educational resources and a monthly support group for patients and their loved ones are available at the Center.
