Sometimes, just knowing there are others in the same situation can make a world of difference for a patient or caregiver. Having an opportunity to talk to someone who has been through a similar experience can be both encouraging and healing. CNI has several support groups available to patients trying to cope with neurological conditions. If you would like to find a support group for a neurological disorder - either local or national - which isn't listed below, or if you know of one that we should include here, please send us an e-mail.
The CNI Deep Brain Stimulation Support Group is brand new as of January, 2007! Open to DBS patients, friends, and family, as well as prospective DBS patients, this meeting provides a wonderful forum to share experiences and meet friends. As the meeting times and date are still being solidified, please contact Kim Martin at (720) 974-4093 for more information.
