Brett
Meyer, MD is currently the co-director of the UCSD Stroke
Center specializing in acute cerebrovascular disease therapies, evaluation
and treatment techniques at UCSD Medical Center. He has also
been appointed director of the newly established UCSD Stroke Unit.
His clinical research encompasses clinical stroke scale evaluations,
acute and hyper-acute therapies for stroke and cerebral hemorrhage,
and Internet applications of telemedicine technology for the evaluation
and treatment of
stroke patients.
Rajesh Pahwa,
MD is the Laverne and Joyce Rider Professor of
Neurology at The University of Kansas School of Medicine and
Director of the Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorder Center
at The University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City.
Dr.
Pahwa received his MBBS (MD) degree from Seth G.S. Medical
College, University of Bombay, India. He completed his internship
in medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas,
where he also completed a residency in neurology. Dr. Pahwa then
completed a fellowship
in movement disorders at The University of Kansas Medical Center.
He is also a diplomate
of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
