For the Media
OverviewSince its founding as a non-profit organization in 1988, the Colorado Neurological Institute has become the largest, most comprehensive neuroscience center in the Rocky Mountain region. A regional, national, and international Center of Excellence, CNI's goal is to create and support disease-specific programs and services for every neurological disorder, providing patient care, education, clinical research and community outreach. Innovative clinical trials and new surgical techniques allow patients access to the latest advances in medical science. Integrated, multi-disciplinary teams of neuroscientists offer comprehensive care for adults and children suffering from Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, epilepsy, brain tumors, spinal cord injuries, head trauma, hearing disorders, stroke, Lou Gehrig's disease (ALS), sleep disorders, migraines, and many more illnesses. Thanks to the dedication of its doctors, nurses, neurologists, neuropsychologists, researchers and other specialists, CNI is acclaimed both regionally and nationally as a world-class facility. As members of CNI, neuroscientists recognize that through their combined efforts, they can enhance the quality, availability and cost- effectiveness of the neurological services they provide. CNI works with healthcare providers, hospitals and community organizations to create a system of care, maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards.
