The Mission of the Colorado Neurological Institute (CNI) is to enhance the delivery of personalized, comprehensive and state-of-the-art care to patients with neurological conditions through coordinated patient care, education, research and outreach activities. CNI is the largest, most comprehensive
neuroscience center in the Rocky Mountain region. Integrated, multi-disciplinary
teams of neuroscientists provide comprehensive care for adults with neurological
disorders and adults and children with hearing loss and ear disease.
We are recognized by Neuroscience as a Neuroscience Center of Excellence,
by National Parkinson's Foundation
as a Care Center and a Center of Excellence by the
Huntington's
Disease Society of America.

Through grants and donations, the CNI Neurohealth
Center provides rehabilitation
services to medically under-insured and noninsured stroke patients. Physical
therapy, Occupational therapy and Speech therapy are provided to help
stroke patients achieve their highest level of function. In addition
to these therapies, the CNI Neuroheath Center provides scholarships
for driving evaluations, purchases small equipment for patients, provides
licensed social works services, neuropsychological evaluations and counseling,
therapeutic massage and financial assistance with neuro-opthamology exams.

2008 Elephant Rock Cycling Festival
On Sunday, the first weekend in June, 7000 bike enthusiasts took to the courses in Castle Rock for the 21st Annual Elephant Rock Cycling Festival. Traditionally the kick-off to the summer biking season, E-Rock affords riders of all abilities the opportunity to ride the beautiful rolling hills just south of Denver. Scot Harris, organizer and promoter of the event, generously offers E-Rock as a fund raiser for the CNI Center of Brain & Spinal Tumors.
Exercise Research Study for People with Parkinson's Disease
Recent evidence suggests that exercise may slow Parkinson's disease. The University of Colorado at Denver is inviting selected participants to help learn more about exercise and Parkinson's disease. Volunteers are needed for a research study at UCD to determine if exercise programs will improve daily function and help people with PD stay active.
