Golfers with Neurological Conditions and Community Partners Come Together for the 14th Annual CNI Golf Classic, CNI’s 25th Anniversary Celebration

Colorado Neurological Institute Partners with The Solheim Cup and Colorado Golf Club to Enhance 2013 CNI Golf Classic

(Parker, CO – July 29, 2013)

On Monday, July 29th, Colorado Neurological Institute (CNI) will hold the 14th Annual Golf Classic at the prestigious Colorado Golf Club’s Championship Course to support individuals facing neurological conditions. To celebrate CNI’s 25th Anniversary, the non-profit neuroscience organization has partnered with this renowned private club in Parker, as well as The Solheim Cup, the most prestigious event in women’s golf. CNI is utilizing a Villa sponsored by Transamerica at Solheim to showcase patient stories. Because of this partnership, the organization is able to give two Solheim practice day passes to the first 120 individuals that sign-up for the CNI Golf Classic. CNI’s players are community partners, patients and golf enthusiasts, and each of them serves as an ambassador and storyteller for the organization.

The 18-hole CNI Golf Classic will include a 1pm shotgun start, a buffet lunch, mulligan sales, a silent auction, complimentary snacks and beverages on the course, contest holes, golfers’ gifts, access to the practice course, access to the club’s locker rooms, two Solheim practice day passes to the first 120 golfers to sign-up, a hole-in-one car prize and a dinner reception with entertainment.

Without fundraisers such as the CNI Golf Classic, patients would not have access to the organization’s specialized patient navigation, social work services, physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, educational resources and clinical research studies. The funds raised from this event will allow CNI to continue to support patients facing Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, Brain and Spinal Tumors, Stroke, Hearing Disorders, Huntington’s Disease and other neurological conditions.

“This is an exciting time at CNI. Our events have moved to a whole new level – and this golf classic is a perfect example. Such events fuel our mission and create awareness for the prevalence of neurological conditions in our community,” says Executive Director of Colorado Neurological Institute, Tami Lack

“We are proud to be hosting the CNI Classic,” said Tom Ferrell, Membership and Marketing Director at Colorado Golf Club. “We’ve been amazed by the people we have met – patients, providers and staff – and we are happy that CNI Classic participants will get a first-hand look at the home of the Solheim Cup just before the competition.”

Player registration is $500 and $2000 for a foursome. Reception and dinner banquet companion tickets are available for $50. Sponsorship and donation opportunities are also available. For more details, please contact Nancy Miller at 303-806-7415 or

Current sponsors include: The Bank of New York Mellon, CereScan, TEVA Pharmaceutical, HealthOne, Craig Hospital, Swedish Medical Center, Bank of the West and Rick and Robin Fort.
