Colorado Neurological Institute Raises Awareness for Neurological Conditions

(Englewood, CO) On December 10, 2013, Colorado Neurological Institute will join the Colorado Gives Day initiative to increase online philanthropy in Colorado. CNI will utilize funds raised on this day to further its mission to enhance the delivery of personalized, comprehensive and state-of-the-art care to individuals with neurological conditions through coordinated research, patient services and education. Without efforts such as Colorado Gives Day, patients would not have access to CNI’s individualized multifaceted neurological care, which is available regardless of a person’s ability to pay.

Long time donors, patients, staff and physicians will support CNI on this day by volunteering at the CNI phone-a-thon. These dedicated volunteers will reach out to generous donors and community members passionate about improving the lives of individuals with neurological conditions. Volunteers will share the remarkable story of CNI’s 25 year history in addition to asking for donations.

On Monday December 9, 2013, volunteers alongside staff will convene at the west steps of the State Capitol for the annual Colorado Gives Day Rally. Supporters are encouraged to join CNI to increase our visibility in the community and increase awareness for Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, hearing disorders, epilepsy and many more conditions. This opportunity will highlight the importance of comprehensive neurological care in the community.

Robin Fort, CNI’s Board President stated, “I have been on the Board of Directors at CNI for over four years, and I am still amazed at the number of ways a person with a neurological condition can receive care and support at CNI. The support services let patients and their caregivers know that they are not alone in this journey.”

Join CNI’s effort to increase awareness in the community for the resources available to persons with neurological conditions. The more awareness that exists, the better the chance someone diagnosed will access the quality care they deserve.  For more information about Colorado Gives Day, please contact Genevieve Laca, Grants and Special Projects Manager, at 720-974-4094 or
