Welcome to the CNI Center for Brain
& Spinal Tumors, which offers an aggressive, multi-disciplinary
and integrated team approach to the treatment
of brain and spinal tumors for patients in Colorado and the Rocky
Mountain region. In our strategy for cure,
we emphasize experience, expertise and advocacy in our quest to improve
survival and quality of life for our patients.
Established in 1996, the CNI Center for Brain & Spinal Tumors
has become a leading center for neuro-oncology in Colorado and receives
referrals from many surrounding states. The program uniquely benefits
from its access to the diverse expertise and technology within the
Colorado Neurological Institute, as well as
Swedish Medical Center.
Our treatment options employ an
aggressive combination of neurosurgery, combined chemotherapy and radiation
therapy, sometimes followed by another surgery or stereotactic radiosurgery,
and biological therapy.

Healing Services
Offer Comfort, Hope
In 2008, with ongoing construction at Swedish Medical Center, the Healing Services will be scheduled every other month and will take place in the Swedish Medical Center Conference Room area. We regret any inconvenience this may cause our patients. Please join us in prayer whenever your schedule permits. The Healing Service is a beautiful event that combines music and prayer to offer comfort to those who wish to find spiritual healing. The services are a combined effort of the Swedish Medical Center Chaplaincy and the CNI Center for Brain & Spinal Tumors. If you haven't attended one of these moving services, please join us in the months to come. Reservations are not required. You can attend as often as you like. Questions? Healing Services will be held the 1st Wednesday of every other month from 5:30pm to 6:20 pm starting in February 2008. NOTE OCTOBER SCHEDULE CHANGE: The Healing Service with featured musicians, Carla Sciaky and daughter, Chloe, will be Wednesday, October 15th at 7:00pm in the 1st floor chapel.

Patient and Family Support Group
The Brain Tumor Patient & Family Support Group will meet the 1st Wednesday of every month in 2008. Please note alternating times on the schedule. NOTE OCTOBER SCHEDULE CHANGE: Brain Tumor Patient & Family Support Group will meet on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at 5:30pm in Pine A and Spruce A Conference Rooms. Dr. Ed Arenson will be in attendance for a question and answer session.
Refreshments/light meal are provided. Facilitators include Judith Stucky, MA, LPC, and Wade Jensen, M.Div., Program Chaplain. We meet in Conference Rooms at Swedish Medical Center, 2nd floor conference center. Reservations are not required, but please let us know if you plan to attend for refreshment planning.
