CNI Neurovascular Surgery Service
Service Overview
The CNI Neurovascular Surgery team performs a number of advanced surgical procedures to prevent or alleviate stroke. These procedures are performed through the CNI NeuroTrauma Center and are provided in collaboration with the CNI Stroke Program and the CNI Interventional Neuroradiology Service.

Patient Care
Our neurovascular surgeons are able to perform a full range of today’s most advanced neurosurgical interventions, including all procedures relating to the prevention or treatment of stroke. Depending on each patient’s condition and the severity of their illness, however, surgery may or may not be the best treatment recommendation. For brain ischemia, one of the most common causes of stroke, the following two procedures may be considered and discussed with patients and their families:
