CNI Interventional Neuroradiology Service
Service Information
Over the past 15 years, radiology has become a powerful tool in the diagnosis and treatment of various neurological conditions. Evolving into a highly effective treatment option for many patients, interventional neuroradiology is helping to save lives and minimize long-term effects of various neurological conditions, such as stroke.
The Colorado Neurological Institute is a leader in this emerging field of neurological care, offering the latest technologies and techniques available to treat patients. Our specialists work in concert with the CNI Stroke Program, the CNI Center for Brain & Spinal Tumors and many other areas of CNI to achieve the best-possible outcomes for patients and their families.
Conditions Treated
Occlusive cerebrovascular diseases involve a narrowing of the arteries to the brain. By extending many of the techniques that have previously been used only for diagnostic purposes, interventional neuroradiology offers significant advances in the treatment of these and other blood vessel-related diseases of the central nervous system. Conditions we diagnosis and treat include:
- Extracranial Carotid Atherosclerotic Disease
- Cerebral Aneurysms
- Arteriovenous Malformations
- Vein of Galen Malformations
- Arteriovenous Fistulas
- Carotid Cavernous Fistulas
- Dural Arteriovenous Fistulas
