Physicians and Staff

Rajeev Kumar, MD (new photo)Medical Director 

Rajeev Kumar, MD, FRCPC
Dr. Kumar is a movement disorders neurologist who completed his residency at Mayo Clinic and fellowship at the University of Toronto. His interests include the entire span of movement disorders, including Huntington's and Parkinson's diseases, Dystonia, Essential Tremors, Tourette’s Syndrome, Spasticity, and Restless Legs Syndrome.

Rehabilitation Specialists

Elena Draznin, MD
Dr. Draznin is the Medical Director of the Rehabilitation Unit at Swedish Medical Center and participates in the inpatient care of movement disorders patients, working closely with Dr. Kumar and the CNI Movement Disorders Center.

Karen Theriot, MD
Dr. Theriot is a board-certified specialist in physical medicine and rehabilitation, with expertise in therapies for movement disorders patients. She participates in the comprehensive care of movement disorders patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.

Neuropsychology Specialists

Alison Krawiecki, Psy.D.
Dr. Krawiecki is a neuropsychologist and health psychologist with pre- and post-doctoral training in clinical neuropsychology and behavioral medicine. She has special expertise in the assessment and treatment of patients with complex medical-psychological problems. Dr. Krawiecki has been a member of Colorado Neurological Institute and has been practicing on the Swedish Medical Center campus since 2005.

Jay Schneiders, PhD, ABPP
Dr. Schneiders is a neuropsychologist who has provided neuropsychological services to CNI patients since the institute’s founding in 1988. Dr. Schneiders is board-certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology for both clinical neuropsychology and clinical health psychology.

Support Staff

Diane Erickson, RN, BSN, CCRC
Diane has a background in psychiatric nursing and has been involved in psychiatric, cardiology and movement disorders research for over a decade. She is involved in clinical studies for Huntington’s disease.

Melissa Holtgrewe, LPN
Melissa is the outreach coordinator for the CNI Movement Disorder Center, providing patient care in the clinic as well as community education about various movement disorders, including Parkinson’s disease. She recently became more involved in research and is now participating in Huntington’s disease research as a co-coordinator.

Kim Martin, RN
Kim is the nurse coordinator for the CNI Movement Disorders Center, participating in the clinical care of patients. She also serves as the National Parkinson Foundation outreach coordinator.

Lisa Fox, Clinical Research Coordinator
Lisa is a clinical research coordinator for the CNI Movement Disorders Center and is involved in a number of clinical studies involving Parkinson’s disease.

Breanna Nickels, Research Coordinator
Breanna has been a clinical research coordinator at CNI since 2007. She has been involved with numerous clinical trials involving liver disease and, more recently, movement disorders.

Vicki Segro, NP
Vicki is an adult and geriatric nurse practitioner specializing in movement disorders neurology. She participates in routine clinical care of patients in addition to research studies of patients with Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease and other movement disorders.
