Facts about Movement Disorders
The CNI Movement Disorders Center provides healthcare services for individuals with movement disorders and offers consultations for physicians caring for patients with the following neurological problems:
- Parkinson's Disease
- Huntington's Disease
- Dystonia
- Gait Disorders
- Myoclonus
- Progressive Supernuclear Palsy (PSP)
- Spasticity
- Tic Disorders
- Torticollis
- Tourette's Syndrome
- Tremor
- Other Movement Disorder
The CNI Movement Disorders Center utilizes a team approach to the diagnosis and treatment of movement disorders. The Center integrates the services of neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuropsychologists, nurse practitioners, physical therapists and occupational therapists to provide comprehensive patient care. The Movement Disorders Center offers stereotactic surgery (including pallidotomy), deep brain stimulation and a variety of clinical research trials.
The CNI Movement Disorders Center is a National Parkinson Foundation Care Center.
The CNI Movement Disorders Center is a National Center of Excellence in Huntington's Disease by the Huntington's Disease Society of America.
