 Officers

Ron Eller, Chairman: Ron has served on the CNI board since 2009 and is president and CEO of Ascent Solar Technologies, Inc. Previously, Mr. Eller served as treasurer of the CNI board. He has extensive senior executive experience in the technology sector, previously with Hewlett-Packard Company and Compaq Computer Corporation.

Rajeev Kumar, MD, Vice Chairman: Dr. Kumar is Medical Director of the CNI Movement Disorders Center, treating patients with all types of movement disorders, such as Parkinson's and Huntington's diseases. A trained movement disorders specialist, Dr. Kumar is active in clinical research and education. He serves as President of the CNI Medical Advisory Board, being elected by his fellow members.

Jon E. Stuck, Treasurer: Jon is President of the Rocky Mountain Region, BNY/Mellon Private Wealth Management. He is Treasurer of the CNI Board of Directors and chairs the Development/Major Donor Committee. Jon brings his financial acumen and wealth management skills to the Executive and Finance Committees as well and led the search committee for CNI's new executive director, Tami Lack.

Robin Fort, Secretary:  Robin is a former project engineer for NASA and Hughes Aircraft. She and her husband were co-owners of several Sylvan Learning Centers. Robin’s skills include project management, business plans and policies, and personnel management. She serves as a liaison between the Colorado Oral-Deaf Preschool and the CNI Board.

Lynn Bunnell: Lynn is a community volunteer who is Past President of the Swedish Medical Center Auxiliary and a member of the CNI Volunteers. Lynn’s particular interest in CNI is our Center for Hearing and the Stroke Center.

Diane G. Cook: Diane is widely known in the Parkinson's disease community. In 2010, she co-founded two very successful Parkinson's support groups for recently diagnosed individuals. Diane is a management consultant specializing in leadership development, team building and custom-designed training. She is a former member of the leadership team at the Chopra Center for Well-Being in La Jolla, Calif. Mrs. Cook, who was diagnosed with PD in 2008, was honored in 2011 with CNI's Hope Award.

Christopher V. Fanale, MD: Dr. Fanale, who goes by “Chris,” is a partner with Blue Sky Neurosciences, Medical Director of the CNI Stroke Program, and member of the CNI Medical Advisory Board. Dr. Fanale is heavily involved in CNI research initiatives. His many accomplishments include founding the CO-DOC Telemedicine Program.

A. Craig Fleishman, Esq.: Craig is a shareholder with Fleishman & Shapiro P.C. in Denver and joined the CNI board in 2010. Craig is well recognized for his expertise in the creation of medical and legal risk management programs and procedures for clients, as well as drafting and analysis of insurance contracts. Craig is heavily involved in a number of community organizations and, with his wife, Layne, chair the CNI gala in 2010.

Mike Fordyce: Mike is president of Craig Hospital, a world-renowned center for specialty rehabilitation and research for people with spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury. CNI is affiliated with Craig Hospital. Prior to Craig Hospital, Mike was with Catholic Health Initiatives, where he served as chief administrative officer.

Donald F. Frei, MD: Dr. Frei, know as “Don,” is an interventional neuroradiologist with Radiology Imaging Associates (RIA). He is involved in a number of stroke and hemorrhage research studies with CNI and our annual Stroke Summit Symposium. 

Stanley Gallery: Stan is the co-founder and CEO of Carts of Colorado and has business interests that span from hotels to solar energy to “Italy by Vespa!” Stan is the chair of our Marketing and Communications Committee.

Arthur S. Judd, “Art” is President of Min Judd Investment Company and serves on the CNI Epilepsy Advisory Board and the Marketing and Communications Committee. Art’s wife, Kathy, is a CNI volunteer and former chairman of a CNI gala.

David C. Kelsall, MD: Dr. Kelsall is the Medical Director of the CNI Center for Hearing and is the Vice President of the CNI Medical Advisory Board. David is involved in several charitable programs through the Center for hearing including World Hearing Network and CNI Cochlear Kids Camp. He is a neuro-otologist specializing in hearing loss and disorders of the ear and conducts surgeries for cochlear implants and bone anchored hearing aids.

Ron Kubit: Ron is the President of Intuitive Technical Solutions, which deals with Healthcare IT services. He has professional skills in information technology, sales and marketing, accounting, strategy and planning, budgeting and forecasting. Ron is particularly interested in organizations focused on children and adults with disabilities—particularly those who are visual and hearing impaired.

Steven P. Lantz: Steve is a partner at SV Capital Partners, serving as chief financial officer. The Denver-based partnership develops luxury resorts throughout the world, with projects in Mexico, the Caribbean, Italy and the US. Mr. Lantz's community activities over the past 25 years have focused on coaching youth and high school football. A stroke survivor, Mr. Lantz has a particular interest in CNI's neurovascular programs and currently serves on the golf committee.

Peter E. Ricci, MDDr. Ricci is a radiologist and the President of Radiology Imaging Associates PC.  He is Vice President of the Medical Advisory Board, and a member of the Executive, Nominating/Governance and Strategic Plan Implementation committees.

Sarah Tomicich, CPA: Sarah is the Corporate Controller for AlloSource, a non-profit based in Centennial. Sarah was recently recognized by AlloSource for her business leadership and community support as a nominee for the 2011 Denver Business Journal's "40 Under 40" award. At CNI, Ms. Tomicich is co-chair of the Young Professionals Committee and in 2006 and was co-recipient of the CNI Center for Brain & Spinal Tumors' Hope Award. A certified public accountant, Sarah serves on the CNI Board Finance Committee.

Mary White: Mary is President and Chief Executive Officer of Swedish Medical Center. A strong proponent of the neurosciences on the Swedish Campus, Mary serves on our Strategic Plan Implementation Committee.

Tami Lack, MA, CFRE: Tami is Executive Director of the Colorado Neurological Institute, overseeing CNI administration, development, and programs.
